Kathmandu: The Mugling-Narayanghat road section, which was cleared following a landslide, has again faced a major disruption following incessant rain and landslides.
Earlier, it took around 28 hours to clear the road section that connects Kathmandu with other major cities of Nepal. However, another landslide occurred around 11 pm on Saturday, blocking bridge number 3, according to the Chitwan District Police Office.
According to authorities, the landslides are occurring as a result of cutting of walls during the construction of the Tuin river bridge along the highway.
The situation has been exacerbated by the heavy rainfall, which has increased the risk of landslides, they say.
