Kathmandu: Sunil KC, Vice President of Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI), has been elected as a Board of Director of Singati Hydro Energy Ltd. The 12th and 13th Annual General Meeting of the Company held on Wednesday elected him from the promoter shareholder group.
KC is the Founder of Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDIA), a think tank based in Kathmandu which has been doing advocacy in the field of diplomacy.
He has been contributing his expertise in the area of economic diplomacy as well as in the area of bilateral and trilateral engagement of Nepal, India and Bangladesh. He is a vocal advocate of Nepal-India trade, investment, energy cooperation and Nepal-India-Bangladesh trilateral trade engagement and power trade.
At present KC has been actively engaged and focusing on the development of hydro energy and attracting FDIs in energy sector. He says that hydro energy is the key to narrow down the trade deficit with India as well as for the overall economic development of Nepal.
