Kathmandu: A bus traveling from Okhaldhunga to Kathmandu met with an accident in Phikkal Rural Municipality-4 of Sindhuli district along the Mid-Hill Highway, resulting in the deaths of six passengers, three men and three women, with 28 others sustaining injuries.
According to Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Silwal, preparations are being made to airlift five seriously injured passengers via helicopter for treatment in Kathmandu.
The remaining injured passengers have been sent to Khurkot Hospital. The bus, which was carrying 34 passengers, crashed into a hillside after the driver lost control of the vehicle, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police Chiranjeevi Dahal, spokesperson for Sindhuli District Police Office..
