Kathmandu: The European Union has said that it stands in solidarity with Nepal and extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims of plane crash in Pokhara on Sunday. Issuing a message on Twitter, Nabila Massrali, spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU and European Commission, has said:
“Yesterday, the tragic crash of an airplane in #Nepal took the lives of 68 people. While rescue operations continue, we extend the European Union’s solidarity to the people of Nepal and our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.” Paola Pampaloni, Director/Deputy Managing Director of “Asia and Pacific Department” at the European External Action Service reiterated the message.
“We are sending EU condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic #NepalPlaneCrash,” she wrote.
