China mourns for the Nepal plane crash victims

Kathmandu: China has expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the victims who died in plane crash in Pokhara on Sunday.  Responding to the queries regarding the plane crash, Wang Wenbin, the foreign ministry spokesperson of China, said that the incident is deeply saddening for China. “This tragic incident is deeply saddening. At this moment of grief, as Nepal’s close neighbor and long-standing true friend, China offers its thoughts to the people of Nepal,” the spokesperson said while addressing the regular press briefing on Monday. “We mourn for the victims of the crash and offer our heartfelt sympathy to the families who have lost loved ones.”  

The Chinese ambassador in Nepal has already expressed his grief over the plane crash tragedy in Nepal. Chinese ambassador to Nepal Chen Song has said “At this difficult time, our thoughts are with Nepali people. I would like to express my deep condolences to the victims, and sincere sympathies to the bereaved families.”

Following the crash of ATR72 aircraft of Yeti Airlines in Pokhara on Sunday, with 72 people on board, leaders including prime ministers, ministers and diplomats from Nepal’s neighboring and friendly countries such as the US, India, China, Pakistan and the EU have expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
