Vote counting has started in Tanahu district, where Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel has been contesting for the last several years.
Poudel, however, has not been able to win the seat from the district so far. Vote counting in Tanahu is also expected to attract national attention because of the candidacy of Paudel. Ek Bahadur Rana Magar from CPN (UML) and Pasang Thapa Magar from Janata Samajwadi Party are contesting from constituency-1.
Vote counting has begun in constituency 2 where Shankar Bhandari from Nepali Congress, Narendra Pratap Mahat from Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and Ram Hari Gora from Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party are contesting for House of Representatives (HoR) elections. The vote counting of constituency one will commence soon, according to District Election Office.
