Voter turnout at 32 percent as of 12:45pm, says Election Commission

Kathmandu: A total of 32 percent votes have been cast as of 12:45pm, the Election Commission said in a press meet.

Nepal is holding elections to elect 275-members for the House of Representatives and 550 members for provincial assemblies.

According to Shaligram Sharma Poudel, spokesperson of the Election Commission, voting is underway in a smooth manner across the country. “The voter turnout was quite low in the morning, which increased in the afternoon,” he said.

The voting started 7 in the morning, and will continue till 5 in the evening.
