Kathmandu: The Terapanth Yuvak Parishad is organizing a mega blood donation drive across Nepal on September 17.
Issuing a statement, the organization said that it is setting up seven blood donation camps in the Kathmandu Valley, and 20 outside the Valley. The organization aims at collecting 1500 units of blood through the donation drive. The blood donation drive is the world’s biggest blood donation drive, it claimed.
The blood donation drive will help smoothen the blood supply chain, the organizer believes.
The blood donation drive has been supported by Blood Donor Society Nepal, Nepal Redcross Society, Pashupati Sewa Sangh, Marwari Yuwa Manch, and Lions Club, among others.
The organization also aims at collecting more than 200,000 units of blood across the world from 2000 camps. The organization, in 2014, had collected 100,000 in a single day in the blood donation drive.
