Kathmandu: The Madhesh Province government has started a protest against the government of Nepal, demanding the adjustment of police forces.
The Madhesh government on Sunday started the protest at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Minister. The Madhesh government has said that the federal government is reluctant to adjust police forces despite the provincial government giving an ultimatum of a week.
Chief Minister of Madhesh Province Lal Babu Raut also participated in the protest.
As per the protest program, the Madhesh government will protest for at least two hours every day from tomorrow, demanding the federal government address the demand at the earliest. The Office of the Chief Minister has also warned that the government would announce stringent protest programs if the demands are not addressed.
