Kathmandu: An eight-member delegation led by Liu Jianchao, the foreign department chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC), arrived in Nepal on Sunday morning.
The officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Liu at the Tribhuvan International Airport. According to the ministry, the delegation has arrived on a four-day visit.
Foreign Department Chief will be staying at Dwarika’s Hotel. The Chinese official will pay a visit to President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka, CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, CPN-Maoist Center Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
This is Liu’s first visit to Nepal after his appointment as Foreign Department Chief.
