Kathmandu: The state-owned oil monopolist has increased the prices of petroleum products just a day after the local elections.
A meeting of the board of directors of Nepal Oil Corporation decided to hike the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 10 per liter each with effect from 12 midnight on Saturday.
With the revision, the price of petrol has reached Rs 170 per liter, while diesel and kerosene will now cost Rs 153 per liter.
The state-owned oil monopolist has not made any changes in the price of LPG gas.
