Kathmandu: The 8th National Summit of Health and Population Scientists in Nepal is being organized in Kathmandu on April 10-12.
Health and Population Minister Birodh Khatiwada is scheduled to inaugurate the summit organized by Nepal Health Research Council (NHRC), the organizer said during a press meet on Friday.
Similarly, World Health Organization Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech virtually.
The organizer said that various committees such as Steering Committee, Advisory Committee, Scientific Committee, Organizing Committee, and Award Selection Sub-Committee have been formed to ensure transparency in the summit.
A total of 31 national and 22 international experts have been invited for a presentation at the summit with the slogan “Advancing Health Policy and Systems Research: Lessons for Resilient Health System in Nepal.”
