Kathmandu: Nepal registered a comfortable six wickets win against Malaysia in a match under Tri-Nation T20I Series on Wednesday.
Chasing down 115 runs target set by Malaysia, Nepal got 117 runs on the board losing four wickets in 13.4 overs. Aasif Sheikh top-scored at 57 runs off 38 balls hitting seven fours and a six. Dipendra Singh Airee and Dilip Nath contributed 21 and 15 runs respectively.
Pavandeep Singh of Malaysia sent two Nepali batsmen back to the pavilion as Muhammad Amir and Syed Aziz grabbed a wicket apiece.
Earlier, put to field first after losing the toss, Nepal restricted Malaysia to 114 runs losing eight wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Karan KC and Sandeep Lamichhane grabbed two wickets each.
Earlier on Monday, Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea by 15 runs in the first match of the series.
