Actor Shah in custody for investigation into rape case

Kathmandu: Tanahu District Court has remanded actor Paul Shah in seven-day judicial custody for investigation of an alleged rape case.

Earlier in the afternoon, absconding Shah had surrendered to police four days after the rape case was filed by a 17-year-old singer.

The 32-year-old actor has been accused of raping the teenage singer with a false promise of marriage.

As per the complaint, actor Shah lured and repeatedly raped the singer girl on different dates in 2020 and 2021.

In the meantime, the teenage singer has filed another rape case against Shah at the Nawalpur Area Police Office, Nawalpur. The kin of the teenage singer, in the case, has said that Shah raped the 17-year-old singer last year in Nawalpur.
