Chinese national arrested with five kgs gold from TIA

Kathmandu: A Chinese national has been arrested in possession of five kilograms of gold from the Tribhuvan International Airport on Saturday.

The 36-year-old Chinese national was arrested with 4,840 grams of yellow metal, police confirmed.

The Chinese national had brought gold to Nepal in four packets hiding them in his underwear. He had come to Nepal on a Himalaya Airlines flight.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said police.
