Kathmandu: The country has reported 1,570 new cases of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Monday.
Among the new cases, 1,022 were confirmed from 7,874 RT-PCR tests while 548 were known from 3,491 antigen tests carried out in the last 24 hours across the country.
Similarly, a total of 6,146 infected got recovered in the same period. With this, the number of active cases in the country is 40,111. Of them, 38,883 are in home isolation and 1,228 patients are in institutional isolation.
Likewise, a total of 255 Covid-19 patients are undergoing treatment in ICUs of various health facilities while 42 are with ventilator support.
A total of 13 people succumbed to the pandemic in the last 24 hours taking the death toll to 11,827.
