Kathmandu: A total of 5,583 new cases were reported from all over the country in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. The new cases were confirmed through 17,674 antigen and PCR tests conducted in various laboratories during the same period.
Similarly, 8,267 patients enjoyed a recovery in the past 24 hours, taking the recovery caseload to 871,165 till date. The recovery rate is 91 percent.
Likewise, nine Covid-19 patients succumbed to the infection in a day. With this, 11,752 people have died due to coronavirus infection so far. The case fatality rate stands at 1.3 percent, the Ministry said. Currently, there are 74,653 active cases in the country, shared the Ministry.
