Kathmandu: Chitwan Tigers defeated Pokhara Rhinos by four wickets to clinch the title of the fourth edition of the Everest Premier League (EPL) on Saturday.
Chitwan Tigers chased down 112 runs target set by Pokhara Rhinos in 15.5 overs losing six wickets. Bhim Sharki contributed the highest 63 runs off 45 balls hitting seven fours and two sixes. Dilip Nath made 18 runs.
Kishore Mahato and Nandan Yadav of Pokhara Rhinos grabbed four and two wickets respectively.
Earlier put to bat first after losing the toss, Pokhara Rhinos made 111 runs of the board losing all wickets in 17.5 overs. Asela Gunaratne hit the highest 34 runs smashing three fours and a six. Richard Levi made 26 runs off 15 balls hitting five fours.
Kamal Airee of Chitwan Tigers grabbed four wickets.
With the win, Chitwan Tigers received a cash prize of Rs 5 million and runner-up Pokhara Rhinos got Rs 1.5 million.
