Kathmandu: Popular Nepali app Hamro Patro has launched a remittance service for Nepalis living in the United States. The service will soon be available from other countries as well, the company said. Hamro Patro users in the United States can now send remittance to Nepal directly from the app.
“We are happy to launch Hamro Patro Remit. With this launch, our users in the USA can send money to Nepal with a few clicks directly from the app,” said Shankar Uprety, founder of the company. Remittance service is currently available for Nepali living in the United States. “We will expand the service to other countries soon.”
According to him, the company plans to launch the service in Australia, Japan, and South Korea soon.
The company said that Hamro Patro Remit is committed to providing fast, safe, and reliable money transfer service with the best possible rate and a lower fee. “As our service is completely digital, our operational overhead is minimal. That is the reason we are providing service at an affordable rate,” said Uprety.
The company has also announced a special offer for its customers. Users can send money to Nepal without paying a service fee for the first three money transfers.
The company has collaborated with the license holders of the respective countries for remittance services. To send money to Nepal, Users have to download or update the Hamro Patro app for Android by clicking here, and iOS here.
