Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index went up by 13.38 points on Tuesday. The stock market had gone down for the past five trading days.
Likewise, the Sensitive Index that measures the performance of big companies went up by 2.36 points and closed at 508.62 points.
All the sub-indices expect trading, finance, manufacturing and processing and mutual funds registered an increase today. The life insurance sub-index went up by 199.64 points (1.33 percent) as the trading sub-index fell the most by 50.25 points (1.61 points).
The stock market recorded a total turnover of Rs 7.3 billion with 15,306,061 shares of 223 scrips traded today.
