Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index went down by 44.18 points on Tuesday and closed at 2,936.61 points, a decline of 1.48 percent compared to yesterday. The stock market had registered an increase of the highest single-day increase of 162 points on Monday.
Likewise, the Sensitive Index decreased by 5.05 points and reached 548.35 points as trading closed today.
Mutual funds and others sub-indices registered and increase today while all others fell.
The life insurance sub-index fell the most by 290.23 points. Similarly, non-life insurance and microfinance went down by 290.23 and 146.77 points respectively.
The stock market registered a total turnover of Rs 7 billion with 15,082,081 shares of 222 scrips traded today.
