Kathmandu: A parliamentary committee has directed the government to immediately take action against office-bearers of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) and Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) concluding that they traded shares contrary to the conduct of the post.
A meeting of the Finance Committee under the House of Representatives held at Singha Durbar on Friday concluded that SEBON Chairman Bhishma Raj Dhungana and Nepse Chief Executive Officer Chandra Singh Saud had traded shares and directed the Ministry of Finance to take immediate action.
Committee Chairman Krishna Prasad Dahal said that the government has been instructed to immediately investigate and take action against them as they were involved in the act against the dignity of the post.
