Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Tribhuvan International Airport Office, has implemented a quota system for domestic flights to reduce crowd at the airport.
The airport implemented the quota system for domestic flights with the aim of preventing the spread of the coronavirus.
The airport office has made extensive cuts in the number of flights with effect from Saturday after discussions with domestic carriers.
According to the office Chief Pratap Babu Tiwari, there will be only 41 flights from Monday. Buddha Air will be conducting 18 flights, Yeti Airlines 10 flights, and Shree Airlines five flights. Likewise, two flights have been fixed for STOL and six flights for small aircraft.
A total of 77 flights were held on Sunday.
